Job summary

The City of Logan Library is seeking two Library Customer Assistants to staff service desks, assist patrons with references, catalog and digital resources, and promote library use. These on-call, part-time roles require flexibility for weekday, weekend, and evening shifts with additional hours as needed.

Shifts are four hours every two weeks, and applicants must be available on short notice and understand the on-call nature of the position.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Basic technology skills including Office products and internet search.
• Willingness to understand and apply library policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Staff library service desks and provide reference and reader's advisory services.
• Participate in circulation procedures and promote library use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
