Job summary

Kitsap Community Resources is seeking an On Call Kitchen Aide to support our Food Services team in Bremerton. You will fill in as needed, help with meal prep, and deliver meals to Head Start sites and other community locations.

The role requires flexible hours, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid WA driver’s license. After a two-week training period, you may be called on short notice for shifts starting at 4:30am and ending as late as 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, in an industrial kitchen

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Six months of food service experience required.
• Experience in institutional kitchen with heavy production."
• Must have a valid food handler's permit.
• Must have a valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Ability to pass State and/or Federal Background Checks.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of kitchen’s pack out work daily.
• Track daily meal counts for contracts.
• Pack out and deliver meals to meal sites daily.
• Assist in monthly inventory and kitchen tasks.
• Assist cooks and food breakouts when needed.
• Report to and accept assignments from Food Service manager.
