Job summary

Madison Country Day School (MCDS) is seeking experienced substitute teachers to support PreK-12 on an on-call basis. Substitutes will cover half-day, full-day, and extended schedules, with a provided lesson plan and administrative support from the school.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of relevant youth experience, strong classroom management, and excellent communication skills. MCDS emphasizes safeguarding and a nurturing, inclusive environment for all students.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience teaching, tutoring, and/or working with youth is preferred.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitutes with advance notice and a lesson plan from the classroom teacher.
• Cover half-day, full-day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the school year.
