Job summary

Spartanburg Community College is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks at the Cherokee County Campus to support building and equipment upkeep.

You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general mechanical work, participate in renovations, and coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep facilities safe and comfortable.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, HVAC-related degree, and be able to lift 50 lbs and be on-call on weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in HVAC and experience across electrical, plumbing and mechanical trades.
• Must be able to be on-call weekends and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, renovations, and construction tasks to support SCC facilities.
• Repair and service HVAC systems, pumps, air handlers, and related components.
• Assist with custodial, safety, and security duties as needed.
• Support campus events by rearranging rooms and coordinating with other technicians.
