Job summary

Spartanburg Community College is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Cherokee County Campus facilities and equipment. You will perform maintenance, renovations, and construction projects, using the maintenance work order system to receive and close work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in HVAC or related trade preferred.
• Experience across electrical, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, renovation and construction tasks for campus facilities.
• Service and repair HVAC systems, air handlers, pumps and cooling towers.
• Calibrate, monitor and service HVAC systems to ensure occupant comfort.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and related systems.
• Assist with renovations, room rearrangements for events and safety duties.
• On-call some weekends and overtime as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
