Job summary

Compassus is seeking an On-Call Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours and weekend patient care as needed. You will help patients and their families spend meaningful time together while maintaining comfort and dignity in home-based hospice services.

Requirements include an active RN license in the state, at least two years of RN experience (hospice preferred), a current driver’s license, CPR/BCLS certification, and the ability to flex your schedule.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state you work.
• Two years of RN experience, hospice experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• CPR and BCLS certification.
• Flex your schedule to meet agency staffing needs; schedules may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on, seven days off.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekend, as needs arise for our patients.
• Enable patients to spend quality time with their loved ones and doing the activities they enjoy.
• Build trusting compassionate relationships with your patients and their families.
• Empower caregivers by educating them on care for their loved one.
• Help the patient and family maintain their maximum level of comfort and coping for after-hours emergency support.
