Job summary
Interim HealthCare Hospice in Michigan is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, home-based care to patients with a focus on quality of life. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to carry out each patient’s plan of care in a supportive environment.
This position offers a Monday–Thursday schedule (4:30pm–8:00am) with competitive weekly pay (RN salary $72k–$75k), 1:1 patient loads, flexible assignments, online CEU training, tuition discounts, and comprehensive
Qualifications
- RN with active, unrestricted license in the state of Michigan.
- At least one year of RN experience is required.
- Community health and medical-surgical experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
- Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, and administer prescribed medications.
- Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, oxygen, medications and supplies.
- Educate family on prognosis, care plan changes and hospice goals.
- Provide holistic care engaging mind, body, spirit and family.
