Job summary

Accounting Search in the Kansas City area seeks a compassionate Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) for 7on/7off on-call coverage. The role focuses on evening and weekend patient needs, coordinating home and community-based care after hours to support patients and families.

The Nurse will assess and respond to caregiver needs by phone, home visits, and occasional facility visits, ensuring high-quality symptom management and education.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License in MO/KS.
• Maintains an active CPR certification.
• 2-5 years of hospice, palliative care and/or end-of-life care experience.
• Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide care after normal business hours via telephone, home visits or facility visits.
• Evaluate and respond to patient/caregiver needs and coordinate care.
• Deliver personal, physical, emotional and social support to the patient-family unit.
