Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) for a 7on/7off on-call schedule covering the East Kansas City Metro area within a 30-mile radius.

The role supports patients and families after hours, often via telephone, home visits or facility visits for assessment and care coordination. The successful candidate will have an active MO/KS nursing license, CPR certification, 2–5 years hospice experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and a meticulous

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License in MO/KS
• Maintains an active CPR certification.
• 2-5 years of experience in hospice, palliative care and/or end-of-life care.
• Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
• Demonstrate organizational skills.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• The Hospice Nurse provides service for the personal, physical, emotional and social needs of the patient-family unit.
• Hospice Nurse will be responsible for evaluating and responding to the patient’s/caregiver’s needs via telephone contact, home visits, and/or facility visits for assessment, symptom management, treatment, teaching and coordination of care.
