Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking a reliable on-call Home Health Aide to assist clients in their homes around the Duluth area. The role offers about 10 hours per week with potential for more in the future and is ideal for adding to an existing schedule or easing back into caregiving.

Responsibilities include companionship, daily activities, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and supporting independence at home. A caring, dependable individual with a vehicle and valid license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care in hands-on environments (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital).
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license with auto insurance.
• Negative TB test or cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability for 2 weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
• Assist with daily activities like meal prep and light housekeeping.
• Provide physical assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, ambulation).
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings and provide transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or needs.
• Coordinate with RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.
