Job summary

The Highlands at Wyomissing is seeking a dependable on-call Home Care Assistant to provide evenings, nights and weekends support. You will deliver companionship, personal care, transportation and home support per the client’s service plan, ensuring safety and well-being.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in home care, a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and excellent communication. CNA certification is welcome but not required; flexibility and kindness are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ personal care/home care experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, sensitivity, kindness, and adaptability.
• Flexibility in adjusting to clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, personal care, transportation and home support per service plan.
• Respond to urgent concerns and ensure safety and well-being during on-call hours.
• Handle a variety of calls/messages within 20 minutes of receipt.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• Maintain accurate records of on-call activities.
