Job summary

The Nooksack Indian Tribe Head Start program seeks an On-Call Teacher Assistant to support a safe, nurturing learning environment for children. The TA assists with classroom instruction and daily routines, participates in bus monitoring, and helps ensure health and safety policies are followed.

• Support the supervision and engagement of children in classroom activities.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate instructional activities and materials.
• Help maintain health, safety, and cleanliness across classroom areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at all times, ensuring safe, nurturing learning environments.
• Assist Lead Teacher with developmentally appropriate activities and materials.
• Guide children through daily routines, learning centers, circle time, meals, and play.
• Observe and report developmental concerns or injuries using proper documentation.
• Prepare and maintain classroom spaces and supplies; clean and sanitize as required.
• Serve as bus monitor when assigned for safe boarding and exiting.
