Job summary

Akin is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support comprehensive child development services and participate in center family events and activities. You will assist the Lead and Assistant teachers, help with documentation, and follow Head Start and ECEAP performance standards as well as Akin protocols.

Responsibilities include facilitating learning activities, preparing meals, helping with diapering and toilet learning, and supporting health, safety, and classroom setup.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of physical exam within past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with children to support learning and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families and involve parents in the program.
• Assist in learning activities to meet children's developmental goals.
• Prepare classroom environments, assist with health and safety practices, and aid lesson planning.
