Job summary

Jericho Project is seeking a full-time Handyperson for the Melrose (Bronx) location. The role supports a building with 79 studios and wrap-around services, performing maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep to ensure move-in readiness.

This on-site position may require after-hours work for emergencies and special situations. The candidate should have trades knowledge (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work collaboratively with the supervision team to maintain

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trades such as plumbing, electricity and carpentry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to repair rooms to move in ready in a timely manner.
• Ability to receive and carry out oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop lobby, halls, and stairs daily.
• Clean sidewalks, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Assist Superintendent when needed.
• Adapt to changes and work with others.
