Job summary

Jericho Project is seeking a full-time Handyperson for a 76-unit Permanent Supportive Housing residence for veterans located at Kingsbridge Terrace in the Bronx. The position reports to the superintendent and is non-exempt, with compensation of $43,680 annually.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, handling after-hours emergencies, and assisting the superintendent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of trades such as plumbing, electricity and carpentry.
• Familiarity with NYC property management sanitation, building maintenance rules.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• On-call for emergencies after hours.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop lobby, hallways, stairs daily.
• Clean sidewalks and bathrooms.
• Perform minor repairs, plaster and paint, change locks.
• Assist superintendent and manage work orders.
• Travel to various sites and handle on-site tasks.
