Job summary

LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is seeking an On-Call Guest and Events Services Associate to staff Enchanted Hills Napa. The role focuses on welcoming guests, coordinating event logistics, and providing on-site transportation for attendees and equipment in a nonprofit camp setting.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year in guest-facing hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to work weekends or overnight as needed.

Qualifications

• Possess class C driver’s license, class B is a plus.
• Ability to drive, or willingness to learn to drive, multiple types of vehicles, including golf carts, vans, trams, ATVs, and SUVs. Possess or willing to obtain Serve Safe food handlers and responsible beverage service training certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in a guest-facing role in hospitality, banquets or special events
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to stay organized, handle multiple tasks and competing priorities, provide excellent follow-up to meet deadlines
• Versatility, adaptability, and an enthusiastic willingness to work with changing priorities
• Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Professional Communication Radio
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to anticipate the needs of a diverse group of visitors
• Professional appearance, work ethics and demeanor
• Event planning experience is a plus
• Interest in working for a nonprofit mission
• Ability to work on weekends
• Ability to work overnight as needed for coverage is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a guest facing hospitality role
• High level of professionalism

Responsibilities

• Greeting, checking in and assisting visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment
• Support event execution, including room setups, and logistics
• Provide on-site transportation for guests and equipment utilizing several different vehicles
• Manage event-related items (food, rentals, room set ups)
• Coordinate with vendors and staff for smooth operations
• Oversee guest check-in/check-out and room inspections
• Keep the welcome area clean, organized, and stocked with supplies
• Build positive relationships with guests and staff, collecting feedbackBe knowledgeable about emergency procedures
• Respond quickly to medical, security, or disaster situations, contacting the necessary authorities
• Ability to perform other related duties as assigned
