Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for the GI Lab to perform endoscopy and related procedures in a fast-paced setting, admitting 60–70 cases daily with 7 beds in recovery and 7 procedure rooms.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing program and an active RN license in Illinois, plus BLS certification. It focuses on teamwork, critical thinking, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license in the state where you practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (American Heart Association).
• Endoscopy/GI experience required.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
