Job summary

Advocate Health’s GI Lab in Chicago (Lakeview) seeks a Registered Nurse to care for patients undergoing GI procedures, from preop to postop, in a team setting.

Requirements include IL RN license, BLS/ACLS, 2 years of nursing, preferably in critical care or telemetry; GI experience is a plus. The role features 40 hours weekly, mostly Monday–Friday with 8- or 10-hour shifts, and on-call Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association and ACLS.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferably in critical care, telemetry.
• GI experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inpatient and outpatient populations undergoing GI procedures from preop to postop in a team environment.
• Over 10,000 procedures annually with five GI Procedure Rooms in operation.
