Job summary

ICF is seeking a Florida-licensed Professional Geologist On-Call to join our Environment & Planning team. The role focuses on applying geologic principles to support environmental planning projects and resource evaluation, with emphasis on Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments for less-than-fee acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of geological work experience applying geologic principles to environmental or natural resource projects.
• Active Florida Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• 1+ years of analyzing geologic, soil, and/or groundwater data for technical reporting.
• 1+ years of preparing technical documents, reports, or environmental assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments to evaluate resource potential under properties considered for less-than-fee acquisitions.
• Evaluate data from DEP databases, local/regional geologic maps, boring reports, and other DEP-FGS data.
• Prepare a brief technical report summarizing the OGM assessment with a GIS map exhibit and well-borehole data.
• Perform geology-related tasks in support of the E&P Division as needed.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholders.
