Job summary

ICF seeks a Florida-licensed Professional Geologist On-Call to join our Environment & Planning team. This role focuses on applying geologic principles to support environmental planning projects and OGM assessments for easement acquisitions.

Based in Florida with remote or hybrid options within the state, you’ll contribute to analyses, prepare technical reports with GIS exhibits, and collaborate with project managers and regulatory stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of geological work experience applying geologic principles to environmental and resource projects.
• Active Florida Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• 1+ years analyzing geologic, soil, or groundwater data for technical reporting.
• 1+ years preparing technical documents or environmental assessments.

Responsibilities

• Perform Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments for easement acquisitions.
• Evaluate DEP databases, geologic maps, borehole data, and other geologic information.
• Prepare a technical report with GIS map exhibit and data.
• Support the Environment & Planning Division on geology-related tasks.
• Collaborate with project managers, specialists, and regulators.
