ICF seeks a Florida-licensed Professional Geologist On-Call to support our Environment & Planning team with geologic assessments for OGM in property acquisitions and regulatory contexts.

You will contribute to analyses informing land and resource use, while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team across regulatory and ecological specialties. This role emphasizes flexibility for on-call scheduling and project-based work within Florida.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of verified geological work experience applying geologic principles to environmental and natural resource projects.
  • Active Florida Professional Geologist (PG) license.
  • 1+ years of analyzing geologic, soil, or groundwater data for technical reporting.
  • 1+ years of preparing technical documents or environmental assessments.
  • 1+ years of using standard geologic or environmental data analysis methods and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments for less-than-fee acquisitions.
  • Evaluate DEP and DEP-FGS datasets and local geologic maps for OGM context.
  • Prepare a technical report with GIS map exhibit and supplementary data.
  • Support E&P division with geology-related tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholders.
