Job summary

ICF is seeking a Florida-licensed Professional Geologist On-Call to join our Environment & Planning team. This role applies geologic principles and interdisciplinary science to support environmental planning projects and resource evaluation, focusing on Oil, Gas, and Mineral assessments for less-than-fee acquisitions.

Based in Florida with remote or hybrid options within the state, you will produce brief technical reports, GIS exhibits, and analyze data from DEP and other sources, collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years geological work experience applying geologic principles to environmental and natural resource projects.
• Active Florida Professional Geologist (PG) license.
• 1+ years analyzing geologic, soil, or groundwater data for technical reporting.
• 1+ years preparing technical documents, reports, or environmental assessments.
• 1+ years using standard geologic or environmental data analysis methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform Oil, Gas, and Mineral (OGM) assessments for less-than-fee acquisitions.
• Evaluate DEP databases, local geologic maps, borehole data, and other data.
• Prepare a technical report with a GIS map exhibit and well data.
• Perform other geology-related tasks to support the E&P Division.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical specialists, and regulatory stakeholders.
