Job summary

S.E. Combined Services of Florida is seeking a professional driver to safely remove and transport deceased individuals. You will handle first-call removals, follow chain-of-custody procedures, and coordinate with families and authorities with sensitivity and professionalism.

The role requires a clean driving record, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexibility for weekend/on-call shifts. Proficiency with basic computer tasks and proprietary software is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of courier/driver experience with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company-owned professional vehicles to perform first call removals of deceased in accordance with local and state laws as well as company policies and procedures.
• Follows processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
• Cooperates with first responders, Coroner, hospital staff, or Senior Living facility and accommodates their processes and procedures.
• Interacts with bereaved family members in a courteous and professional manner for home removals; sensitive to environment and follows procedures for removing soiled materials.
• Enters deceased event information into proprietary software according to company procedures.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assists with moving caskets.
