Job summary

S.E. Combined Services of Florida is seeking a Transfer Specialist in the San Diego area to handle the care, removal and transport of deceased, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

You will drive company vehicles, maintain cleanliness, and document transfers in our software with professionalism when meeting families. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy items, including handling soiled materials when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• At least one year of courier/driver experience with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally; push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays; on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company owned professional vehicles for first call transfer of deceased and manages chain-of-custody and paperwork.
• Cooperates with first responders, hospital staff, coroner, or senior living facilities following procedures.
• Interacts with bereaved families for home transfers with sensitivity; handles soiled materials per policy.
• Enters deceased event information into proprietary software according to procedures.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centres, or funeral homes and assists with moving caskets.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness, performs fueling, and identifies maintenance needs.
