Job summary

S.E. Combined Services of Florida seeks a Funeral Attendant to support funeral services from setup through aftercare. You will assist with preparing the deceased, greeting families, and helping with transportation and room arrangements.

This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include driving families to cemetery sites, operating in both office and service environments, and maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• No prior work experience required; funeral industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services, including dressing and transporting.
• Prepare rooms for services with chairs, tables, guest books, flowers and keepsakes.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and offer funeral services information.
• May serve as pallbearer and may drive families to cemetery site.
• Handle after-service tasks: cleaning, storage, and transporting mementos and flowers.
• Answer phones, screen callers, escort guests, maintain reception and supplies.
• Assist with mailroom tasks and document handling.
• Transport documents, family mementos, and flowers safely to destinations.
