Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a friendly and service‑driven Food Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences across restaurants, lounges, and banquets in our Hawaii properties. You will engage guests, take orders, and ensure timely, accurate service with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have prior hospitality or food service experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hotel, banquet, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of POS systems and dining service standards is a plus.
• Food Handler or TIPS certification preferred where applicable.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive food and beverage service across dining outlets.
• Take orders accurately, answer questions, and upsell where appropriate.
• Serve food and beverages per standards and timing guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, beverages, and daily specials.
• Process transactions and operate the POS system accurately.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests.
• Keep dining areas clean and well organized.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and banquet setup as needed.
• Collaborate with Culinary, Bartenders, and F&B leadership for smooth operations.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible service guidelines.
