Job summary
Plus One, an Optum Company, is seeking an energetic On-Call Exercise Specialist to support a high-profile fitness center in Chicago, Illinois. You will conduct fitness consultations, develop progressive programming, monitor safe use of cardio, strength and flexibility equipment, and educate participants on health and wellness services.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field (or NCCA-certified PT), current CPR/AED and First Aid, and experience with exercise testing and
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field required.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
- Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription and ability to use fitness tools.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness consultations including movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting.
- Develop progressive fitness programming to support participants and motivate them.
- Monitor and instruct participants on proper use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength equipment.
- Educate participants on health and wellness services and resources.
- Complete internal development courses via LMS.
- Maintain high quality of service and customer experience.
