Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an energetic Exercise Specialist for its fitness center in Irving, Texas. You will conduct consultations, design progressive fitness plans and guide members in safe use of equipment, promoting a healthy lifestyle.

You’ll deliver education on health information and available wellness services while pursuing internal development courses to enhance guest experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and exercise prescription (program design).
• Ability to network, engage and interact with all clients, guests and members.
• Competence with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations, movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting to tailor fitness programming.
• Develop comprehensive progressive fitness programming to motivate participants and enhance their experience.
• Instruct participants on safe and effective use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on clinically proven health and fitness information and available wellness services.
• Complete internal development courses through the LMS platform.
• Maintain positive customer and client experience by delivering quality service.
