Pinyon is seeking on-call Geologists to provide field support for site characterization and remedial investigations across the Denver Metro area and greater Colorado region. You will lead on-site activities, log soils, supervise drillers, install monitoring wells, and collect samples, all while coordinating with project managers and clients.

The role emphasizes independent field work, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to travel within Colorado.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of environmental consulting or site characterization experience.
• Experience with soil logging, monitoring well installation, and soil/groundwater sampling.
• Experience supervising drillers and subcontractors on active field sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and respond to on-call dispatch.

Aufgaben

• Perform soil logging and preparation of boring logs in accordance with ASTM D2488 and the USCS.
• Oversee drillers and subcontractors during Phase II ESAs, preliminary investigations, remedial investigations, and environmental audits.
• Plan and execute monitoring well installation, development, and abandonment.
• Conduct soil sampling, groundwater sampling, water level and groundwater gradient surveys, and elevation surveys.
• Operate and maintain field equipment such as PIDs, water level meters, and survey instruments.
• Maintain chain-of-custody documentation and coordinate lab submittals.
• Apply and interpret state and federal environmental regulations.
