Job summary

A leading environmental consulting firm is seeking On-Call Staff Archaeologists and Field Technicians for various projects in California. The role involves conducting field surveys, identifying artifacts, and monitoring construction sites. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree, several years of experience, and must be comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $25-$35 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with California prehistoric or historic resources.
• Certification by the Register of Professional Archaeologists is a plus.
• Valid CA Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform pedestrian field surveys.
• Identify prehistoric and historic artifacts.
• Monitor archaeological construction sites.
• Complete California DPR forms accurately in the field.
• Maintain high quality field notes.
