Job summary

WestLand Engineering and Environmental Services, a Trinity Consultants team, seeks on-call Archaeology Field Technicians for our California Cultural Resources program. Responsibilities include pedestrian surveys, shovel testing, dataset entry, site recording, and curation tasks with field and lab components.

The role requires field and laboratory archaeology experience and strong teamwork skills. The position is non-exempt with a pay range of $27.00–$31.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Archaeology or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Field and laboratory archaeology experience required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pedestrian surveys and shovel test excavation.
• Record field methods and findings on field forms.
• Map STPs and transects with handheld devices.
• Maintain field equipment and support laboratory tasks.
