Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking On Call Field Archaeologists to support projects across the southwest, Midwest, and southeast. Responsibilities include collecting and documenting artifacts, spatial data, and observations on site, with emphasis on quality control and safe field practices.

Ideal candidates hold an undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology, 3–5 years of field experience, and must be willing to travel to project sites, working independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field.
• 3–5 years of archaeological experience.
• Experience conducting Phase I/Class III pedestrian survey and shovel testing.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with collecting, identifying, and compiling artifacts, observational and spatial data from field sites.
• Maintain quality control standards for accurate measurement and documentation.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on preservation and environmental issues.
• Generate complete documentation using electronic systems and field notebooks.
• Follow safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
