Job summary

WSP USA is seeking On Call Field Archaeologists for multiple surveys across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. This on-call, temporary hourly position starts at $22 per hour and pays based on North American CRM experience and regional archaeological experience.

Ideal candidates are local to the region, hold an undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or closely related field, and can work independently or as part of a team. Travel to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology or related field.
• Archaeological field school or similar field experience.
• 0-2 years of archaeology or anthropology related experience.
• Ability to travel to project sites and work varied schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Phase I surveys and shovel tests.
• Record data using field forms and document artifact recovery.
• Work as part of a field team and follow safety policies.
