Lower Eastside Service Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine upkeep of facilities. The role focuses on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and related systems to keep our buildings safe and functional.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or trade school credential, a NYS driver’s license, and at least five years of hands-on maintenance experience; you will work Monday to Friday 8am-4pm with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED/trade school required.
• NYS Driver’s License is required.
• 5 years of building maintenance experience (HVAC, plumbing, painting and electrical).

Responsibilities

• Identifies and repairs maintenance problems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical.
• Maintains air conditioners by cleaning filters and condensers monthly.
• Checks smoke detectors, emergency lights and fire exits monthly.
• Changes fuses, light bulbs and ceiling tiles as needed.
• Unclogs drains, toilets and sinks; monitors boilers and oil temperature.
• Provides on-call 24-hour coverage; may cover for others as needed.
