Job summary

Acacia Network in Bronx, NY is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of facility upkeep tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work. The role requires maintaining a safe, compliant physical plant and updating logs and work orders for all activities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in facilities management.
• Current Boiler Operator Certificate required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized self-starter with excellent time management.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant and facility in a safe and secure manner.
• Ensure adequate heat/AC, light, water and sewage; respond to interruptions and coordinate repairs.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair physical plant issues as assigned.
• Maintain inventory and logs for tools and equipment.
• Follow fire safety, resident rights, and facility policies and procedures.
• Perform general trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Keep areas clean and maintain logs and work orders.
