Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, seeks an energetic On-Call Exercise Specialist to support members at our Morristown, NJ fitness center. You will conduct consultations, design progressive programs and monitor safe equipment use to enhance the participant experience.

Responsibilities include educating members on health and fitness information, completing internal courses, and maintaining high-quality customer service in a dynamic wellness environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a related field or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing and prescription; ability to operate fitness tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations, including movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting.
• Develop progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants.
• Monitor and instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on clinically proven health and fitness information and programs.
• Complete internal development courses through the learning platform.
• Maintain positive customer and client experience with high-quality service.
