Job summary

Naropa University’s Office of Events is seeking Event Crew Technicians II and III to support performances and other events on the Arapahoe and Nalanda campuses in Boulder. We manage multiple event spaces, including the Performing Arts Center and Nalanda Events Center.

The technicians provide technical support for event setup, lighting, sound, A/V, house management, and box office operations, with a flexible on-call schedule. Prior experience in technical theatre is preferred; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• 6 months – 2 years’ experience on a technical theatre crew.
• Familiarity with computers and basic office tasks.
• Punctuality, dependability, teamwork, and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Assist or manage stage set up, room set up, backstage, and programming lighting and audio/visual cues.
• Assist with transitions during shows and manage front of house operations including box office and ticket reconciliation.
• Lead sound checks, program light cues, set up lighting and A/V equipment, and ensure safety during rigging and rig operations.
