Job summary

Third Street Music School Settlement is seeking an Event Staff to provide production support for on-site and off-site performances. This on-call contractor role covers setup, breakdown, front-of-house tasks, and aiding audio/lighting during Cornerstone performances, recitals, master classes, and public events.

Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Production, you will coordinate with staff, visiting artists, and faculty to ensure smooth event operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in live event support, production, or front-of-house.
• Ability to lift and set up equipment; physical stamina.
• Comfort in high-pressure environments and detail-oriented.
• Basic knowledge of audiovisual recording equipment.
• Familiarity with orchestra/backline equipment.
• Exposure to amplified sound and theatrical lighting.
• Interest in performing arts and arts education.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown for performances, rehearsals, rentals, and school events.
• Implement stage changes during performances according to schedules.
• Transport equipment including instruments, audio/lighting gear, and mics.
• Support front-of-house operations: greeting, programs, tickets, directing patrons.
• Collaborate with production staff, faculty, visiting artists, and administration.
• Perform other event, production, and facility duties as assigned.
• Serve as live sound engineer, recording studio engineer, or lighting designer as needed
