The National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA is seeking an on-call Cook to manage the quantity and quality of food production in accordance with established standards and safety policies.

You will follow the Sous Chef's directions, prepare items for assigned departments, decorate and garnish dishes, and perform quality checks on each plate. Night/weekend/overtime work may be required.

Qualificações

• Degree from a post-secondary culinary arts training program is desirable.
• Minimum of 1-2 years Hotel/Restaurant cooking experience or equivalent.
• Some experience in supervising, delegating, and training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Follows directions from Sous Chef and ensures high quality according to recipes and standards.
• Controls production quantity and assembles foods following prescribed recipes.
• Decorates and garnishes all prepared foods and checks seasoning/appearance.
• Reports maintenance or problem areas to supervisor; may be assigned additional tasks.
• May work nights, weekends and/or overtime as needed.
