Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Must communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students and a discerning external clientele.
• Commitment to centering inclusivity, diversity and equity in executing key responsibilities.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Expedite, load, transport, unload and set up food, various small wares and supplies for catered functions in a courteous and professional manner.
• Coordinate delivery and set-up with sensitivity to time management and advance planning, assuring that all deliveries meet scheduling requests and in time to achieve careful visual presentation.
• Ensure that buffet items are displayed with sensitivity to the visual presentation required by a discerning clientele.
• Perform basic food preparation, assist in the preparation of complex menu items, and assist with serving food items as needed and in compliance with safety and HAACP standards.
• Maintain catering motor vehicles, fuel and mileage logs; report repairs as needed.
• Make daily deliveries for catering.
