Catholic Charities of Baltimore, Head Start in Harford County, is seeking an On-Call Classroom Aide to support a safe and nurturing learning environment Monday–Friday, 8:00am–2:30pm, for 52 weeks. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $17.50 per hour, depending on credentials and education, with on-site employment in Edgewood, MD.

Responsibilities include assisting the teaching team, supporting holistic child development, and ensuring compliance with Head Start standards and program policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for Classroom Aide, with two levels depending on certification.
• Strong punctuality and dependable attendance are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents, and children.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching team to maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.
• Support development in physical, cognitive, social, and emotional areas per standards.
• Help implement curriculum and behavior guidelines to promote learning.
• Participate in team planning and professional development activities.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start and program policies.
