Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking an on-call advocate to provide crisis intervention and safety assessment for identified victims of domestic violence and other abuses at Carroll Hospital. Responsibilities include education, emotional support, safety planning, and coordinating resources with medical staff.

The role emphasizes after-hours and weekend on-call coverage; location is Carroll Hospital within the LifeBridge Health system, with a focus on safeguarding victims and facilitating referrals.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum of one year of experience with domestic violence and other abuse victims preferred
• Experience in elder abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault
• Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills and familiarity with protection/restraining orders

Responsibilities

• Provides safety assessment, domestic violence and other abuse education and emotional support to identified victims.
• Formulates safety plan with victim and provides resources.
• Communicates with medical staff regarding victim's disposition and regarding referrals.
