Job summary

LifeBridge Health’s Carroll Hospital seeks an on-call advocate to provide crisis intervention and safety planning for victims of domestic violence and abuse after hours and on weekends. You will collaborate with hospital staff to assess safety and coordinate referrals, delivering education and emotional support.

The role emphasizes advocacy, strong safety planning, and knowledge of protective orders, with compensation for shift time and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience with domestic violence and other abuse victims preferred.
• Experience in elder abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault.
• Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills; familiarity with protection/restraining orders.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety assessment, domestic violence and other abuse education and emotional support to identified victims.
• Formulates safety plan with victim and provides resources.
• Communicates with medical staff regarding victim disposition and referrals.
