Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced Site Inspectors to support disaster recovery across the United States. This on-call, as-needed role involves documenting damages to public infrastructure and facilities and coordinating with engineers, architects, and recovery specialists.

Inspectors may travel, work in the field, remotely, or in hybrid arrangements depending on client needs, with responsibilities including data collection, reporting, and supporting FEMA Public Assistance and other programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in building inspection, construction, or related field.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and organizing field-based data.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and desktop-based inspections of facilities and infrastructure impacted by disasters.
• Evaluate and document disaster-related damages to public buildings, roads, bridges, utilities, parks, and more.
• Capture photographs, measurements, observations, and site conditions for recovery funding programs.
• Document building and site-specific attributes using data collection applications and technology platforms.
• Verify reported damages and support validation of project information.
• Conduct virtual inspections using photos, videos, reports, GIS tools when field deployment isn’t required.
