Job summary
Tetra Tech is seeking a Cost Estimator to support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery programs nationwide. The role focuses on developing accurate, defensible cost estimates for infrastructure restoration and emergency work, with emphasis on field assessments and documentation.
Assignments may be remote, field-based, or hybrid; on-call cadence, travel as needed. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and program staff to validate scopes, analyze costs, and ensure compliance
Qualifications
- 2+ years in construction estimating or related field.
- Experience estimating labor, equipment, materials, and costs.
- Experience with disaster recovery programs is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support FEMA Public Assistance and disaster recovery cost estimating.
- Conduct site inspections and assess damages.
- Develop and validate project scopes and cost estimates.
- Prepare documentation suitable for audits.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and program staff.
- Maintain records per client requirements.
