Job summary

SBM is seeking an on-call Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role involves performing janitorial tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and following safety protocols.

The candidate may be asked to drive to different sites and communicate professionally with the team. No strict education is required, with 3–6 months of training or experience preferred and forklift certification possibly required.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for this position based on business needs.
• Forklift certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas; report incidents and hazards to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures; wear proper PPE.
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, and customers.
• Able to drive to various locations as needed for the job.
