Community Mental Health for Central Michigan is seeking a Crisis Stabilization Specialist (Intermittent) to join the Crisis Mobilization and Intervention Team. The role provides on-site crisis intervention and stabilization services, evaluating emergency requests and coordinating with access systems to determine the appropriate level of care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or Clinical/Counseling Psychology is required.
• Michigan state licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, LLC, LPC, TLLP, or LP) required; CMHP credential required.
• Valid driver's license while operating vehicle on agency business.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates requests for services on an emergency basis and provides on-site assessments.
• Provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals in mental health or family crisis.
• Collaborates with criminal justice partners to divert eligible individuals to appropriate care.
• Educates/assists significant others and family members with the petitioning process.
• Assists in crisis resolution and develops stabilization plans with Person-centered Planning principles.
