Job summary

Community Mental Health for Central Michigan is seeking a Mobile Crisis Specialist to provide brief intervention to adults in mobile crisis settings, including consumer homes or community locations. You will respond verbally, via video, or in person, following service plans and coordinating with other interventionists as needed.

The role emphasizes crisis stabilization, collaboration with a crisis team, and ensuring safety while engaging with community partners.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, health/human service coursework encouraged.
  • Valid driver’s license required while operating a vehicle on agency business.
  • Crisis Peer Support Specialist requirements include MDHHS training/education criteria and recovery experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct mobile crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with crisis stabilization case manager and team for appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate with CMHCM and partners for crisis response and follow-up care.
  • Document efforts and monitor stabilization outcomes.
  • Ensure safety procedures and emergency plans are followed.
