Job summary

WSP is looking for an on-call Crew Chief-Level Archaeologist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The role involves conducting cultural resources fieldwork, writing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Compensation ranges from $32.00 to $45.00 per hour, with additional benefits including medical and retirement savings.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in cultural resource management and environmental planning.
• Valid BLM Southeast Region Crew Chief permit.
• Ability to travel as needed and work outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Authors technical reports and conducts cultural resource fieldwork.
• Monitors, collects data, and prepares reports related to environmental surveys.
• Conducts pre-field Class I records reviews.

Skills

Cultural resource management report writing

GPS data collection

Strong interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Section 106 regulations

ArcGIS or AGOL field maps software

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field
