Job summary

WSP is seeking On Call Archaeology Field Technicians in Arizona and New Mexico to join their Cultural Resource Team. Successful candidates will assist in archaeological surveys and contribute to data collection and reporting.

A BA/BS degree in a relevant field and 1-3 years of archaeological experience are required. Compensation is expected to be between $26 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 – 3 years of professional experience in archaeological planning.
• Ability to travel for 10-day rotations and possibly camp.

Responsibilities

• Participation in Class I-Class III assessments.
• Contributing to heritage investigations compliance.
• Traveling to project sites in Arizona and New Mexico.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal skills

Oral and written communication skills

Working knowledge of cultural resources

Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft

Ability to perform pedestrian survey

Experience identifying archaeological materials

Education

BA/BS degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History
